I also had a family chalet and i truly enjoyed myself and spending my time with my cuz. Now i am looking forward to my last sem in NIE.. I am enjoying life and the holidays as well. Although I have been tight on my budget, I was able to pull in my resources to enjoy as much as possible with little money to spend. As there is much to say, I will just summarise them with photos of time spent with my relative and friends.

21 Nov - My friends and I were lucky to be able to learn a thing or two abt france and its people. I learnt about the origin of mont blanc that it is the top of the french alps. We were also fortunate to be able to taste french food. And the cheese were wonderful!!!

My Second Love.. Chez!

Finger Looking Good! I just cannot stop!

22 Nov - My buddy, Mustapha got married

The Groom and the Bestman!!

I also visited Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve, went out with my cuz, Wahidin, had dinner with my friends Adam, Rizar. I also helped a friend with jis retail therapy and was surprised that the person is able to spend up to SGD400 but i think it was a good buy as we manage to buy numerous items.

On the 30th of Dec, my silat coach got married. Then the next day, 1 Dec, the silat gang headed to sentosa for a day under the sun. Now for a deserved break.

To reflect on this sememster in NIE, I find it one of the toughest I had experience yet. The timetable for my classes were not favourable. Most of the days I would end about 5pm and would have a break of 3 to 4 hours break in between. it was the long break that exhausted me and not the classes.

Assignments also took a toll on my confidence and with every assignments came up, it sucked up my positive attitude. However, I am glad it is now over and I am taking a good break from the hectic school schedule.

The upcoming semester will be my last ones. I won't be as bad as this one. Despite the hectic schedule, I had also manage to schedule in some fun time.. hahaha

"A night with Anuar Zain" was a great. It was a thrilling experience to watch one of my singing idols performing at esplanade. He really sang beautifully. However what i noticed that our songs have evolved in the many years...

In the 1980's, we grew up with songs like "We are Singapore", "Count on Me Singapore", "One People, One Nation, One Singapore" These songs are used to bring the people together and unite as one.

In the 1990s, the songs we discontinued and i wonder why... I guess we might be too busy making money and progress as a society.

However, in the new millenium, I guess the government notice that many of the Singaporeans a "lost" and are looking for an identity to call our own. Thus many of these citizens, migrated to look for greener pastures overseas. Therefore to indirectly welcome them back, songs like "Home", "Where I Belong" and many more.

However those two mentioned above, Home and Where I belong are songs that i felt which are good and represent the true meaning of Singaporeans.

Z@kir a. But it was indeed an unforgetable one. I had travel to China where I learned a lot of new things. Learn a new culture and get to travel to numerous places which i never dreamt going. The highlight was my trip to the Great Wall of China, it was really a magnificient sight. The 'Silk Street' was also an eye-opener as I got to experience first hand the 'art of bargaining'. It was definitely cool. Hahaha

I had also managed to get bronze for my silat competition. I am happy as it is the goal that I had set for myself. However, I did not win any matches..hehehe. My first round was already the quarters and I won due to disqualification of my opponent as he was under-weight. In my semifinal match, I met this 'boy' (boy because he was only 17 yrs of age) from RP. And he really 'trashed' me. Thus I lost the match. But the good thing was if you made thru to the semi-final round you automatically win a bronze. Am I lucky?

In my other free time, I met up with my friends and caught up with one another. Eating was the norm but what made this yr holiday different was that I went KOK.

I also just got back from KL where i enjoyed myself tremendously. The company was great and so was the food. I may sound crazy but when I was there i tried many restaurants that was available in my home country, Singapore. Some of teh food establishments that I went for were Subway, Carl's Jr and PastaMania. It was heavenly. I finally get to taste this food leagally (halal).

Overall, I enjoyed my holidays and luckily I am also looking forward to school life again.

Z@kir a. DAMN! I said to myself. But still carried out my plans as usual, I proceed for the singing session.

After singing my hearts out, my two silat friends offered to help me to change my tyre. I was touched. Therefore, we embarked in out first ever, changing tyre process.. hahahaha.

It was an eye-opener and i learned a lot about the steps on chaging the tyre. For those who never done it b4, hope this tips help.

1. Ensure your jack, spare type and the metal tool to unscrew the bolt are available.
2. It was a great atmosphere with the stadium being half filled with Singapore Die Hard Fans. It was positive to see that we still have many passionate fans who will still come down after their long working hours to give their undying support to our national team.

My expectations for the game was not that high. I hoped for a draw between the two teams. Once the whistle is blown to mark the start of the game, I can see that the away team was controlling most of the play. I felt that the Lions we holding their half very well. Unfortunately at the 10 mins, the away team scored their first goal. I was quite disappointed but my friend told me that it is still early in the game and Singapore would draw level anytime. True enough we did, It was so unexpected yet beautiful goal. The fans were aesthetic and overjoyed when the home team scored the equalizer.

There is still hope i said to myself. the two teams continued to pile on the pressure on one another. Unfortunately, it was the Singapore defence that took the beating and Uzbekistan scored their second goal. The crowd were shocked at the goal and wondered how it entered the net. Again the feeling of lost sets in. Singapore continued to pile on the pressure and the effort was rewarded when we earned a spot kick. The spot kick was converted beautifully and we draw level again. The crowd cheered!

Not long, the uzbet scored their 3rd goal. The fans waited eagerly for the equalizer again but it never came. Instead, the away team scored their 4th and 5th goal. What a let down. The second half whistle blew. It was gg to be hard climb for the national team to draw level with this score difference.

15 minutes passed and the two teams re-entered the pitch. The two teams gave their best but we can see that Singapore was hungry for more goals with them trying to win more of the possession of the ball. In the 30 minute of the second half, Singapore manage to put the ball into the net. In that instant, I thought there may be a chance for a better score line and even a draw. I continued hoping but the opponent was indeed a better team and they replied with 2 goals, bringing the final score of 7-3 against singapore.

Although we lost, I felt that the Singapore Team played well. It was indeed an entertaining game and worth my time and money to watch the game. Well done Singapore and continue to pursue your dreams. All the best.

Z@kir a. On 29th of April is FREE CONE DAY by Ben & Jerry. Yes my favourite ice-cream outlet. Being a B&J fan, I queued up for 20 mins to get my free dose of "medicine" for the day. It was sad that they only have a few selection. I opted to try a few favour called "Chocolate Therapy." It was GOOD, but it cannot beat my favourite flavour, which is "Fossil Fuel".

Hey at the en dof the day, it's free ice-cream. The three 'Rs' would be the direction is achieveing the holiday experience. I wanna relax, enjoy myself, rejuvinate my senses and renew my spirit. In this week alone, I had gone out for 'fellowship' dinners with my rotaract friends, around 5 times!!! And I felt a bit guilty after every outings as I really need to utilise my time to study. But I told myself that I need to also relax myself from all the stress of revision.

Monday, upon completion of my last assignment for this semester, I went out to Sedap corner at Simpang Bedok. The name of the place does represents the quality of food it serves. SEDAAAP!

I had dinner and fellowship with my RAC Singapore West members on the 17th (wednesday). It was more like a guys night out. We indulge in coffee at TCC at Boat Quay and proceed to dinner at Bukit Timah. On friday, I had sushi with members of RAC NTU. The following day (sat), I had western food and ice-cream at Vivocity. However, I was quite sad that I did not get my dose of B&J. However the time spent was a good stress releaser for me and it is a way help me focus on my studies as I know that the time spend studying must be utilised fully.

I am really excited for the upcoming holidays. The things I like about holidays are that I am able to catch up with my friends and relatives. Next to engage in activities that interest me expecially outdoor activities and spend time on Rotaract organising activities etc.

I really hope I am able to perform well in my upcoming examinations too.. Exclusively only to great Malaysian and Singaporean........

Ah Lek was asked to make a sentence using 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10 . Not only did he do it 1 to 10, he did it again back to 1. This was what he came up with...

1 day I go 2 climb up a 3 outside a house to peep. But the couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rush out and wanted to 5 with me. I run so fast until I felt 6 and throw up. So I go into 7 eleven and grab some 8 to throw at him. Then I took a 9 and try to stab him. 10 God he run away. So, I put the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7 eleven. Next day, I call my boss and say I am 6 . He said 5 , tomorrow also no need to come back 4 work. He also asks me to climb a 3 ! and jump down. I don't understand, I so nice 2 him but I don't know what he 1 .

The magic of numbers....

Z@kir a. I left before he finished the note. About 20 minutes later, one of my techs comes in laughing and says he was just in the lobby, saw a piece of paper on a printer and went to> investigate.

Attached is what he found. From now till July 2009, i have to support myself through tuitions and other odd jobs that i can get my hands on. Now these times really test my independence. I will try my best not to ask for financial assitance from my parents. I think they should use their savings for their own living expenses.

11 July marks the day which I receive my Diploma in education .. YES! I have completed my studies and earned a credit. It is a achievement for me as for my previous Diploma in Nanyang Poly, I only attained a pass but most of my grades are Ds and Cs. So I am quite happy with myself and manage to attained a relatively good results. I know it might be a small issue to some but the difference in getting this diploma is that I enjoyed the time in this institution in comparison with the time I spend in Nanyang Poly.. I was really struggling in NYP.

Now looking forward in getting my Degree.. Finally one of my dreams is coming true.. waited so many years and now all my sacrifise are worth it.. TWO YEARS. WOW.. but what is more scary is my bond will end in 2014.. That is a long wait but i know i can do it... hahaha

Z@kir a. He (the teacher) has to get to know his new class, understand the school culture, locate the different classrooms, make new friends, orientate himself and many more... It has been two days and I see my other beginning teacher trying to adapt and survive.

They say the first two years of a beginning teacher is very crucial as that is when you know you break it or make it in this fast paced working environment.

Fortunately, I am only in the school as a "floater". A floater is a person who will be deployed to enter classrooms which the teacher is on medical leave, course and etc.

But i guess upon entering NIE again, i will definitely miss teaching the kids.. that is what keep me going on everyday.. Just the night before, I had cleared some of my books and handouts which I fell that was unnessarry for teaching. That was my way of doing the proper closure of the situation. Still I did not accept the fate that i receive the letter. I thought it was just a letter to announce my overall result in NIE.

I was Having a camp with my students from my previous school, therefore i cant go back that soon. Then evening came, my mother called insisted that I came home and check the content of the letter. Being a good boy, I went home. True enough the content brought good news for me. If most of you have not known, our dear DRRE Dr. Dhamindra has received a scholarship to further his studies overseas. It was a last minute news but luckily we have our ever realiable DRRN Lina who was fortunately ready to take over the role as DRR for the year 2007/2008.

What would I do if she said no? Do I have to take up anotehr year of DRR-ship?

Well, I wish Dharma all the best and it is nice to see a fellow Rotaractor having the opportunity to better himself professionally and personally. To Lina, congrats on your appointment and do inform me of you need any assistance.

In the same week as well, our four lucky Rotaractors ( Audrey, Amanda , Wee and Eugene) embark in their Group Study Exchange (GSE) trip to Holland. Some of our Rotaractors went down to Singapore Changi Airport to bid a safe trip there and back. I felt quite sad to see them go but they promise me a lot of souveniers back.. (hahaha). If you wish to read more about the GSE Trip feel free to go to their blog at http://gseteam2007.blogspot.com

I also had my Graduation Dinner on 25 May 2007 and it was eld at Traders Hoel Singapore. Yes I am finally graduating and going to a new school...To my surprise I was nominated and crowned as Mr NIE. So i guess you do not need good looks to win a pagent just the correct personality and attitude. :)

Prior to this event my group of friends in NIE also had a BBQ celebration to say our goodbyes to one another. We started off the trip at the Summit and I had a hair cut (Yes, I was sooo busy that I had no time to cut my hair).

We then headed to taste their local laksa. I was so good and spicy. Just the way I like it. Then I proceed to play badminton... (Yes I also excercise or not I would not have space to eat some more food. Hahaha). It was a good sweating session and I was refreshed after that.

We then proceed to have "ikan Bakar" and "Tahu Goreng" for supper. I then headed back to Sauying's place to wash up before proceeding to Minyak Beku. There, I got to see many temples and got to view the beautiful stary sky which I had never seen in Singapore before. We sat at the jetty and chatted the night away.

Today, we will be heading to Segamat for Durians.. yohoo..

Z@kir a. The committee was working hard to get the last minute preparation done. Thank you Rtr Dawn (RAC SW) and Rtr Neo(RAC BP) for helping us out in the preparation.

The first batch of ppl that comes in are the Rotaractors from Kota Melaka. One of the biggest contingent that was represented for the conference. Close 7pm, the bulk of the participants from Singapore and overseas arrived at the campsite. Participants registered themselves and collected their goodies (T-shirt, Shirts, booklet) and headed for their accommodation.

Dinner was served and as usual good (catered by your "District Caterer" Keyuan). With that we proceed to our ice-breaker game. Groups then design their group cheer, group flag and group identity. It really shows that our Rotaractors are creative ppl. The first day ended with ice-cream. And the club representative headed for the district meeting.

Day 2: The day started quite early and participants have their breakfast. After breakfast we went to the Lodge. The opening ceremony is held there. Awaiting for the Guest of Honour (DG Dr. Wu Dar Ching), the respective tribes occupy themselves with a friendly game of "BOMMING". The arrival of DG Wu was welcomed with tremendous applaus and cheers. DG seems pleased with the grand welcome.

After the formalities, we begin with the first plenary session (5Cs of Rotaract andKnowing more about Rotaract). We then proceed for luch with a twist. Participants was introduced to Survivor Cooking. It was an enriching experience for me as it was my first time doind it. Thou the process of the cooking was challenging, every tribe was proud of their "fruits of their labour."

We then move on to the next plenary session and which is on membership recruitment and retention. Next was the Survivor games.... Participants were given different task to complete at different base station.

We then have our very own Rotaract War, Different Tribes fill up their plastic bags with Water and through them at each other. It indeed relive my childhood memories. Some ppl are so persistent in getting the district team members wet. It was a great "war".

Participants then wash up and went for dinner while we prepare for the campfire.

The weather was not too kind and the heavens poured down in us (Rainlah of course). So we have to go to plan B which is have our performance nite at the Hall. Every team put up a good show and was impressed with their ideas and execution of the performance. Well done Rotaractors. We also mange to see a few Star in the making...

Upon completion of the performance, we announced the top two teams for the Survivor. Orang Asli and Batek was the to two teams that emerged. All participants was given a chance to vote the winning tribe. Each team gave their closing remarks and why they deseerve to win. After the vote, the box was sealed by our three game master, Audrey, Amanda and Wee.

Next day came, we packed up and set ready to go. We had our farewell breakfast and proceeded to the Hall for the closing ceremony. The results we announced then. We said our goodbyes and hope to meet again soon.

Z@kir a. However I was having class on at that time. I had to rely to my faithful and ever dependent DRC John Ng to pick them up at Senai. They then headed back to Singapore towards Changi where they will be staying for the night. Thank you John for your help. Upon finishing my class, I headed to Changi from NIE to say hello to them. I stayed with them till late night and left for home for a good night sleep.

My class ended at 10.30 am on 19 January 2007. Lots was on my mind as it was the day of the conference. Will there be any last minutes back up from participants? Will the overseas rotaractors get lost? Was everything in order? Haiz so many things to worry about.

But there was no time for that. I need to pick up Rtr Neo (RAC Batu Pahat) from Kranji Mrt. Off I went and to pick him up with Dawn. Finally we reached the MRT and met with Rtr Neo. We headed for lunch at Woodlands and proceeded to Jurong Point to walk around. As I had to attend class again at 2.30 pm, I bid farewell to both of them and went to class.

While waiting for class to start, I decided to call Pres Greg from Rac Kota Melaka to see whether they are on their way. To my surprise, they are still in Melaka, waiting for a few more people to be ready. Now I am getting to worry, will they reach Singapore on time?

Opps class is about to start. Class ended early at 4 pm. I went down to IMM to pick up Dawn and Neo and headed for Camp Christine.... Ryan was there to greet me but there was so much setting up to do... The tables, logistic items and etc...

5.30pm: Ryan has to go to pick up the other participants from Kranji Mrt. And to my relief, my other committee members have arrived.....

Now I can breathe....phew....

Z@kir a. She was so excited to meet us that she kept calling us even before we alighted the plane. After waiting for our luggage for more than half an hour, we finally exited the airport and met our ZR Yvonne. We then proceed to the carpark to meet up with President Jason from Likas Bay.

While exiting the airport, I noticed that the airport was undergoing a renovation and expansion. It was scheduled to be ready before early JAnuary 2008.

We then proceed to Supper at a famous Indian stall in Sabah called "Salim". There we were greeted with other club members from RAC Likas Bay and RAC Kota Kinabalu. We met up with PZR Lina Chin, Pres Kathy and many more Rotaractors. It was indeed a nice reunion. After supper, we went to our "Shane-ringlla". It was a double storey bungalow that belonged to Rtr Shane from Likas Bay. It was indeed by dream bachelor home. DAY 2: The day I lost my sole.

We started early that day and was thrilled to take up the challenge of "White" water rafting. We woke up early at 7 am and was sent to Beverly Hotel where a van awaits us to bring us to the train station. It was a one and a half hour ride to the train station. As expected the train was 30 minutes late. We boarded the train and began the 3 hour journey to our starting point.

Upon arrival, we were given instructions on how to manoeuvre the raft and explained to us some safety rules. Without wasting any time, we walked to the river and started our adventure. We were accompanied by an australian couple and 2 tourist from Hong Kong. The rafting started smoothly and we manage to work together as a team.

We then moved to the "Washing Machine" (one of the names of the river section). Our raft charged through the waves and attacked every obstacle that came towards us. However the elements got the better of us and we were defeated... or better yet, I was defeated. Half of the ppl in my raft went overboard which includes me.. hahahaha. Since I was the furthest from the boat, the guide through me a line and pulled me in. Upon reaching the boat, I waited patiently to be pulled up. When the time came for me to be "rescued", I was pulled up onto the boat by keith (one of the HK tourist inthe boat) and Lilian. However due to the "force of gravity" a.k.a. my weight, both of them are unable to pulled me up.

I began to panick (a bit) as we approached another fierce rapid. I heard the guide instructing Lilian and Keith to let me go. In my heart, I hoped that they won't leave me behind. Luckily, the guide, with his super human strength. managed to pull me up. I breath a sigh of relief.

After that tiring and exciting ride, we proceed for a BBQ lunch at the lodge. We laughed and recalled back the adventure in the river. Then it was time to head back to Kota Kinabalu City.

While waiting for the transport to take us back, I noticed that my "sole" was lost. We then proceed for a pot luck dinner at shane's place. There was a wide spread of food on the table, ranging from pasta, rice dumpling, curry chicken and many more. I really enjoyed the spread and teh company as well. I was also entertained by the RAC Likas Bay caroling group. We also had a gift exchange. We continued with our fellowship and when the guest left, Shane, Lilain and I started to clean the house and wash the dished. It was indeed difficult being a DRR.

Day 3: The day we had a whale of a time and a blackout!

The day was planned for us to visit the beautiful islands of Sapi and Manukan. Looking at the series of unfortunate events I had, I realised that the day was not that simple. We headed for breakfast and bought our tickets for the "island hopping". First stop was Manukan, we were surprised by the crystal clear water that welcome us at the jetty. Shane, Yvonne and Lilian enjoyed the beach while I opted for the more adventure choice of Para-sailing. It was indeed a thrilling ride. Fortunately the rope did not break. Ha ha haWe then headed for Sapi Island where we enjoyed snorkeling. We then proceed back to the main city but before that we make a detour to view a baby whale that is stuck in the shallow waters. It was a magnificent sight as it was the first time we saw a whale up front. Unfortunately, the whale was unable to be save and its story was published in the papers a few days after. We then proceed to the Philippines market in town to buy sourveniers and momentos from Sabah. We then proceed back to Shane-ringlla and got ready for our zonal meeting in Sabah.

Before the meeting, we had our dinner at the Sabah Golf and Country resort. The meeting went on smoothly until we experience a Blackout. It was a new experience for me having a meeting in darkness. It was an eventful meeting. We then headed for supper with members from RAC Likas Bay and RAC Luyang. At about 1 am, we headed back home and pack our things for our trip back.Day 3: Heading home...

We left for the airport early morning but before that we went to have breakfast at a famous restaurant ( sorry cannot remember the name). I tasted the best Tom Yam soup ever. We said our good-byes . Although the trip was short, I truly enjoyed myself and I promise to be back for more....

Till we meet again guys..

Z@kir a. DRR Zakir and DHS Lilian started the District Tour with rain and storm at Senai airport. We were fortunate to have our good buddy, DCSC Keyuan, to send us all the way to Senai Airport.

Upon arrival at Kuching Airport, we were greeted by Rotaractors from RAC Swinburne and RAC Kuching. We then proceeded for dinner cum supper at a nearby coffee shop. It was a good session as I got to meet with old friends as well as make new ones.

We then proceeded to our "Bungalow." It is owned by Pres Michael Kwan's father from RAC Swinburne University, Sarawak. The place was cozy. ZR Andrea, Rtr Michael FV and Rtr Edison also bunked in the bungalow with us. After settling down, we decided to play Monopoly (board game). It has been a long time since I played the game and it was indeed refreshing. We slept around 2 am.

Day 2: We depart at around 8 am and headed for breakfast at KAYA AND TOAST. Upon finishing breakfast, we proceeded to Swinburne University to preare and print materials for the Zonal meeting. We (Lilian and myself) were then "kidnapped" by PDRR Samuel Phui to accompany him for tea break. We had Sarawak Laksa.

We then proceed for lunch at Tun Jugah Food Court, where we met with members from RAC Kuching, RAC Curtin University and RAC UCS. After finishing lunch, we proceeded for the Cultural village. It was a 45 minutes drive from the city. It was interesting for me to learn about the different culture of Sarawak. It also gave me some ideas on the upcoming Survivor Rotaract Conference. We also watched a 45 minutes performace and I was truly entertained.

We then had dinner with PP Abel from one of the Rotary clubs in Kuching. We were served Thai food. We then proceed for more fellowship with the other Rotaractors. We went Karaoke.

BTW did I tell you that the Swinburne University caught fire and was closed for 2 days?

Day 3: We headed for breakfast at FAT CAT and proceed to preparing for the Zonal meeting. The meeting was attended by both Rotarians and Rotaractors in Kuching. I was indeed very honoured. Once the meeting ended, we proceed back to our "Bungalow" and rested before going for dinner.

At the dinner, we had 30 ppl attending. It was very casual. We planned to proceed for bowling, however, there was a tournament and we did not manage to play. We then went for coffee and tea. The people present were entertained by the mind games that was shared by yours truly.

FYI: The ceiling of the room we had the meeting was leaking.

Day 4: We had an early morning and proceed to the Fairy Caves to view the wonders of nature there. It was a tiring hike up the stairs and up the caves but it was worth it. Though i had to walk on Bat's faeces, I really like the experience. Lunch was up next. We then proceed back to our accomodation and pack to go to Sabah. We said our good byes.

Lesson learnt: During my tour in Kuching, I had earned that they are a few things that are "legal and encouraged".

ETD: 1930 hrs.

Z@kir a. I can't have a good night sleep as the ride was bumpy. However the company was good. 10 Rotaractors and guest went on a journey to visit district 3300 (Malaysia) and attend RAC Ampang installation. The list of Rotaractors are as follows:

DRR Zakir, Pres Yiling, IPP Junjie, PP Simon, Rtr. Keyuan, Rtr Dawn, Rtr Eileen, Guest Sewling (from RAC Singapore West), Rtr Paul and Rtr Celine (from RAC Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts)

We left Tuas scond link exactly at 0000hrs on 15 Septmber 2006. The six-hour journey was quite smooth. We arrived in KL at approximately 0600hrs and was greeted by members of RAC Ampang (IPP Mun Wai, Rtr Joanne, Rtr Carine). We proceed for breakfast and went to visit the Petronas Twin Tower. It was indeed a breath-taking sight as it was my first time up there.

We later split into two groups, the shopping group and the grooming group. I opted for the grooming group where we went to have our hair cut. In the evening, we attended RAC Ampang installation and met up with DRR Chandra (D3300) and DRR Ruby (D3460-Taiwan Northwest District). I also had the opprtunity to also meet other Rotaractors from D3300.

After the installation, we went back to our apartment for a short fellowship and all of us went to bed as we were too tired.

Next day, we had to say our good byes to everyone.... For me it is the state where many of my closest Rotaract friends live. On 8 August 2006, after our work, 6 district members (DRR Zakir, IPDRR Audrey, DHS Lilian, DHT Winnie, DComSDC Amanda and DCSDC Kumar) squeezed into DRC John's car and headed towards Melaka.

It was an exciting three-hour journey where we (mainly me) shared our childhood memories and we laughed all the way to Melaka. We reached our destination at approximately 2000hrs, where we met up with out hosts. President Greg and IPP Wee of RAC Kota Melaka (KM) greeted us and we resume to have our deserve SUPPER! It was indeed a good meal as we were deprived of our dinner.

Upon finishing the dinner we went to back to our apartment to settle down and wash up. We then proceed to a cafe called a friends cafe to catch up with one another. We shared stories from the recent APRRC and looked at the photos and videos of the event.

The next day, we went to have the famous hard boiled egg and kaya toast. It was worth the trip. Members of RAC KM, Eugene, Kelvin and myself went to KFC.. Yes KFC to buy a total of 40 piece chicken. Don't worry it is not for me to eat! Do you think I am that greedy?

The chicken purchase was meant for the special kids from the "Happiness centre". This center is dedicated in helping the mentally disabled children in providing them the care and medical aids. It is sad for me to find out that some of teh children in there are abandoned by their parents. It does makes me appriciate life more.

We spend a couple of hours there and interact with the children and the staff there. We then proceeded for lunch and President Greg presented his yr plan and goals for the club.

At about 5 pm, we left for Batu Pahat to attend RAC Batu Pahat Installation. As it was our first time visitng them, we got a bit lost and arrived at the installation late. It was indeed a refreshing feeling as it is the first time I attended an installation that was conducted in Chienese/Mandarin. The installation was entertaining and the Board of directors put up a small dance item for the guest.

It was nearing 11 pm and the installation ended. The seven tired people drove back to Singapore. It was a tiring but fruitful trip.

Z@kir a. The visit started out in a hospital. No one was sick, it was that the members are having a community service project there.

We arrived at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital and proceeded to the children ward. There we were greeted by President Elango of Rotaract Club of Johor Bahru. After a short introduction of everyone, we proceeded up to the children ward. The members of the Rotaract Club were orgainsing a colouring competition in conjuction with their "Hari Kebangsaan" (National Day) which is on the 31st August 2006.

I manage to interact with the kids and have the priviledge of giving out the goodie bags and prizes to the kids.
